As many as 27 illegal huts alongside train railway at Jalan Pangkalan RT 05/12, Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet, South Jakarta, were demolished, Thursday (12/17). It was because those buildings stood on state property land and water channel.

Chief of Tebet Sub-District's Satpol PP, Mika Darwin stated that, of 27 huts, 17 of them stood at Bukit Duri Train Depot and 10 others on water channel.

"Those huts are demolished since standing on channel and beside train depot. It is only police post left," he stated, Thursday (12/17).

He expressed post of demolishment, the channel will be normalized. All this time, the channel always overflows and causes puddle during rainy season.

His side, he added, deployed 50 Satpol PP personnel to demolish the huts.

"The demolishment went conducive since we have given socialization to the owners," he finished.
